Hey Reader,

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Hey y'all! We just returned from the most fun trip with Baby A yet: 5 days at Disney World!

We were nervous that taking a baby to Disney would be a disaster, but to our surprise, it was a blast. Baby A LOVED it!

We also spent some fun time with her grandma in Florida - longer than originally planned because a storm took out our power back home. Freezing cold dark house vs. Florida house with a pool? It was an easy descision to stay a little longer!

Back at home, we've been focusing on our new business venture: Louisville Food Tours! Our walking food tours have been booking out weeks in advance, and we're frantically hiring tour guides (please apply if you're a Louisville local!)

Hope you're all doing well and excited for spring! (The daffodils are popping up all over our neighborhood - we are so ready for warmer weather.)

xoxo Lia, Jeremy, Mulan, & Baby A.

How to do Disney World with a Baby, the Ultimate Guide by a former Cast Member

Santa Cruz Galapagos Island Guide: What to Do, Where to Eat, & Where to Stay on Santa Cruz

Barking sea lions. Crystal pools tucked between volcanic cliffs. Tortoise ranches. Fresh, sizzling seafood. Santa Cruz Island is one of the Galapagos' most populated islands, and the central town of Puerto Ayora is as close to bustling as you'll find in the Galapagos: docks send ferries to and from other islands, restaurants and sizzling kiosks tucked into hidden alleys sell grilled and fried fish, and tortoises roam the cooler inland air of the elevated Highlands. We hired a local writer to whip up a guide to everything you need to know to plan a visit to Santa Cruz, Galapagos! Read this post »

What to Pack for San Francisco (& what NOT to)

Ahh, the City by the Bay: barking sea lions, clanging MUNI buses, steaming clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls, freezing cold Marine Layer… marinates in nostalgia Packing for San Francisco is a CHALLENGE. And bring a jacket” doesn’t quite cover it. So here’s your complete San Francisco packing list - including what to leave at home. Read this post »

WHERE TO WANDER

Here's where we're dreaming of visiting this time of year:

  • Winter Sports: Did you know that spring break season is some of the best time all year to go snowboarding and skiing? Fresh powder, no crowds - ahhh. For snowboarding or skiing, Lake Tahoe is unparalleled, and our Lake Tahoe in the Winter post will help you plan your trip on a budget.
  • Warm Spring Break Destinations: It's just about time to jet off and enjoy some sun! May we suggest sunny Mexico, tropical Costa Rica, or perhaps equatorial Ecuador? (We just hired a local to update all of our guides to The Galapagos Islands!)

STUFF WE LOVE

As spring break season approaches, I'm feeling a primal urge to shout from the rooftops about my beloved Swim Leggings made by the ethical and sustainable brand Waterlust.

As a very pale person who does not enjoy putting on sunscreen, swim leggings are EXACTLY what I need for snorkeling and kayaking! Unlike regular leggings, swim leggings are designed to be resistant to chlorine, sun, saltwater and sunscreen.

These leggings are made from swimsuit material created from recycled water bottles. They dry quickly just like a regular swimsuit, but unlike a regular swimsuit, they allow me to walk on the beach soaking wet without chafing everywhere or falling down. Oh, and they have POCKETS!

The brand that makes them is super sustainable and supports conservation and anti-racism initiatives, with inclusive sizing up to 3XL (I'm wearing a 2XL). We love them and I am the proud owner of multiple pairs of swim leggings (and matching swim tops, too.) For more information, head to my Waterlust swim leggings review post, or just check out the site:

LIAREMY LOVES

We are currently catching up on The Bachelor, but it's so freakin' boring this season that we're barely staying awake for one episode a night. I mean, where is the drama!?!? Sigh.

We also decided to re-watch Doctor Who, because we were maybe the last people on earth to hear that they're going back to the original writer of the series reboot AND bring back the best ever companion, Donna. And that is exciting enough to watch all 86 seasons or whatever that we've missed since we gave up somewhere in the Matt Smith era.

Jeremy is still taking advantage of baby naps to play God of War Ragnarok (quietly, with headphones) because we are still contact napping (and yes, we love it, and no, we have no desire to stop. Ever. We might still be doing contact naps when Baby A is a teenager at this rate. We LOVE THEM.)

As for me? Well, I've started working during baby snoozes, which is why y'all are getting a newsletter this month! Baby steps... literally ;)

That's all we've got for now, and for the next little while. We'll see you on the other side!

Have any questions for us, or just want to say hi? You can click reply and email us directly. We swear we're not just incredibly advanced and attractive robots - we do actually read & respond to your messages (and we love getting them)!

Until next time,
